The first time my daughter, Brielle, and I attended church service, I was nervous. It was a difficult time in our lives and we really needed God. The entire congregation was so loving and we were loved and accepted immediately.

The advice I have for people looking for their home church is to find the church who welcomes you with open arms and invites you to be part of the congregation regardless of your situation. A true church will pass zero judgement and love you no matter what. The sermons will speak to you. Even if you are hesitant with your faith in the beginning, your home church will definitely prove the true power of God. 

I am so thankful for FUMC. It was my mother's request that I attend just one service when I was going through a debilitating time in my life. She asked that I just give it a chance. Honestly, I was stubborn and hesitant. My soul was hardened at that point and my faith was questionable at best. However, I caved in and agreed to attend one service. That was one of the BEST decisions I have ever made. My faith has never been stronger and I'm so happy to say that my daughter also LOVES attending church! We are thriving in life now. I can honestly say FUMC has contributed significantly to that. --Joanne B.

• FUMC is a friendly church.  We welcome new people without being pushy.  Our minister is great!  He preaches and teaches from the Bible and makes the sermon interesting.  The preaching is not politically slanted, so all feel welcome here.  Our Fellowship gathering after the service is a nice time to visit with each other and enjoy some great snacks.  Oh, and don't forget the organist.  He's great too. --Sharon W.
 
• Walking into a new church one wants to be welcomed and met by friendly people who are glad you are there. That's a feeling that helps you sense the love of the congregation and the love of God. The pastor's message, a children's sermon that touches the young and the old, Sunday school, and the music is there to help you feel God's presence. Your journey at a  FUMC service  begins with a friendly welcome and provides a service of understanding and feeling closer to God.  -- Joan H. 
 

• We are fortunate to have a friendly pastor and congregation.  Our pastor gives meaningful sermons on interesting topics.  We have a wonderful fellowship hour that gives us the opportunity to make new friends as we munch on homemade goodies.  We provide a nursery for our children so their parents can attend church services.  Our church has a lot to offer and has a welcoming atmosphere. --Roger L.
